Video: Police Seek To ID Suspect In Attempted Robbery At Stamford Business

Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect involved in an attempted robbery at TKargo Check Cashing & Shipping Business on East Main Street in Stamford.

Investigators from the Stamford Police Department have released surveillance video of a suspect who was caught on camera at the business. He can be seen jumping over the back counter at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Oct. 14, and attempting to get into the clerk’s office. He then fled in a red Ford Taurus.

In the video, the suspect can be seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark jacket a tan tactical-style backpack and a New York Giants hat. He’s been described as an African American or Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s with a Hispanic accent.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information involving the attempted robbery has been asked to contact detectives at the Stamford Police Department by calling (203) 977-4444.
